We always seem to bitch about how the government is slowly taking away our civil liberties, but what about private businesses taking away simple freedoms that used to be commonplace?

Burger King now has a sign in their windows that states "Videotaping is not allowed". The NYS Thruway reststops installed signs that tell us we can't leave our vehicle parked there for more than 4 hours or it will be towed.

Of course they're private businesses and are legally allowed to make these demands, but does that make it right?

I really hate reading Myspace bulletins regarding conspiracy theories revolving around the eventual debut of "National ID Cards"

"The government will be able to trace our every move!!!"

I got news for everyone, they already can.

We already have a national ID card, its called a driver's license.

We already have a national ID system, its called a Social Security Number.

The government can track our movements, its called an EZ-Pass and the GPS functions in cell phones.

The government can track our purchases, its called debit cards.

The government can keep track of our history, its called a credit report.

The government knows what vehicle we drive, its called the DMV.

The government can find out personal information, its called our Myspace profiles.

Am I making any sence here?

A few weeks ago, I took an audio clip from the Opie & Anthony show, added video, and posted it onto Youtube.

The audio clip features the boys talking about security camera footage of a gentleman helping an old lady remove her hat.

I put the video and the audio together:

Anyways, I recieved the attention of the show and they loved it, and promo'd the hell out of my work for about a week. The video currently has 35,000 views on Youtube alone and was copied onto many other sites.

On Friday they gave me a plug in front of 2 million people, and I'm now promo'ing the hell out of my mention:

The Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Authority suspended and/or fined 20 individuals on Tuesday. Most were workers who were at an unlicensed show. One independent worker, Tony Corral, received a one-year suspension and a $250 fine for trying to subvert a drug test by bringing in a urine sample in a condom.

PART 1

Your show should NEVER start with a promo. Always start with a match that will pop the crowd, but not do too much as to overshadow the rest of the show. The first match should almost never leave the ring, almost no high spots, and should have a clearcut winner (no DQs or countouts), basically it shouldn't be a spotfest. It should only be a 1-on-1 or tag match, or very rarely, a scramble match but no matter which type of match, it shouldn't go more that 8 minutes.

Utilize your website and tv show to hype matchups and to air promos, don't cloud up your show with endless in-ring promos. Only two matches should have in-ring promos. If need be, have your authority figure do a promo where he lays out the matchups for the fans, that way you can reduce the number non-wrestling spots... fans come to see WRESTLING, not talking. Unless your The Rock or Steve Austin or Dusty Rhodes, you don't need a promo on the mic before everyone of your matches. And I don't want to hear "WWE guys constantly cut promos", well WWE guys also take acting lessons and have the best promo-men in the business coaching them, and 99% of those promos are backstage, where a 90 second promo can be kept to that, instead of waiting for the superstar to walk down to the ring and wait for the crowd to quiet down.
